        DESCRIPTIONS

Printer Hookup

To hook up a standard parallel printer to your Portfolio
you need ACP003 & CAG019. The Portfolio work with dot matrix,
jet or laser printers.

Modem Hookup

To hook up a modem you need ACP004, CAG016, and modem software
such as POR010 OR POR011.

Data Transfer

To transfer data to or from an IBM you can use:
1. ACP003 with CAG002,
or 2. ACP004, POR010 & with cable maybe CAG014,
OR 3. ACP014 with cable maybe CAG014.
or 4. The ACP010  PC Card Drive Interface  49.95


"POWER Basic" a structured high level programming language for the
Portfolio. Compile Basic programs to .COM or .RUN format.
Rational and Logical operators. Graphics and text. Floating point
arithmetic. Dynamic string & data file manipulation in
sequential, random or binary.


"Chess" is the same brainpower that has twice won the World PC
Chess Tounament. Ten difficulty levels. On-line help. Pre-set
positions for specific gambit play. Play against computer or
second player. Chess clock. Hints. Take back move. Analysis mode.
Play in English, French or German.


"Instant Speller" is a spelling checker that prompts you with
alternatives to mispelled words. Check for specific words or work
with the Portfolio's built-in text editor to examine an entire
document. Create your own dictionary and use Instant Speller's
built-in general dictionary, as well. 100,000 words.


"Finace Card" is an advanced finacial calculator program that helps
you quickly and easily perform a wide range of business and
statistical computations including; Compound interest, loan
amortization schedules, investment return, future payments,
monthly interest rates, nominal yearly rates, annual percentage
rates, leasing terms, internal rate of return, net present value,
depreciation, breakdown analysis, statistical forecasts and
linear regression fitting. Graph & Print.


"File Manager" supplied with some Portfolios provides a window
based system to run programs. With File Manager you do not need
to learn MS DOS commands.


"Transport" transfers files to an Atari ST/STE/MEGA Computer using
the serial port. Require serial port on the Portfolio and serial
cable.


"PC Card drive" plugs into an IBM compatible desktop computer and
allows the Portfolio's memory cards to be read as a disk on the
IBM Desktop computer.


"Memory Expander Plus" triples the memory RAM in your Portfolio.
This interface adds 256K bytes of RAM plus adds a second card
drive, drive B. You can plug in two Memory Expander Plus units to
get 640K bytes RAM. Software must be backed up on card drives
prior to plugging in or removing the Expander. The Portfolio must
have a master reset performed when a change is made.
